- Spencer MB19 mars 2026*Watched the "Extended Cut" I enjoyed this the first time I watched it, which was also the extended cut, but this second time was pretty... meh. I couldn't agree less with everyone else about the weird chemistry between Gosling and Blunt, she could've been played by anyone else and the results would've been mostly positive. Basically everything before the 1.75 hour mark is pretty good and fun, but then act three shows up and it becomes very rough outside the action, which is consistently good. TLDR: First half is fun narratively, second half is mid. Action is good the whole time.

- rg94001 novembre 2024An aggressively mediocre movie. I think Ryan Gosling is a lot of fun, but him and Emily Blunt lack a lot of chemistry, so their romance isn't very engaging. The humor is a bit hit or miss. It did elicit laughs from me, but a lot less than I was expecting. The movie also struggles with pacing, with it being surprisingly slower than expected, and the core mystery/intrigue being very predictable and bland. I get that's not the main focus of this movie, but considering the slower pacing and the limited impact of the romance and comedy, you'd hope the plot could carry the movie more. The cinematography was pretty good at times though, including a cool meta scene involving split screens. I also do appreciate the focus on stunt people. However, the movie is still extremely disposable and carried solely by Ryan Gosling in most places. I think if you appreciated some of David Leitch's prior movies such as Bullet Train and Deadpool 2, you might appreciate this one more than I did since I found those equally bland and mediocre.

So much so that when we rewatch old favorites, it will be like seeing them anew. I know I’ll be asking, "How in the hell did they pull that off?" and "Come on, man, Ryan Gosling didn't jump on to a helicopter after driving off a ramp."

- Mrterrytoyou3 février 2025Great movie, loved the action! Huge Tropic Thunder vibes, which I liked! that being said I also think that’s what made it 4 stars instead of 5 for me. Actually if you think about it, it is Tropic Thunder… the love story between Jack blacks character and the heroin. The love story of Simple Jack and the guerilla fighters that made the heroin. So many similarities… Still pretty fun movie!

It’s got charm, action, and a bit of campy ’80s energy that makes it entertaining from start to finish. The characters are fun, the stunts are over-the-top in the best way, and it’s exactly the kind of movie that’s fun to just sit back and enjoy without thinking too hard.

This is another film where you pretty much need to walk into the theater with your mind turned off and ready to chomp on some popcorn and have your adrenaline sporadically boosted. This is a summer blockbuster.

- Ray Hopkin26 décembre 2024I loved this, dumb, stupid fun time! I remember watching the original series back when I was a kid, I remember the theme song! This definitely captured the vibe of the series, as a goofy good time.
- Chris C29 novembre 2025Top-notch action is available in spades here, which would be enough on its own. But you also get a legitimately funny movie on top of that. As you would hope for a movie about a stunt man, the stunts are fantastic and so much was practical, rather than VFX. It was also a joy to see Gosling get to really stretch his comedic side, with his best turn since "The Nice Guys" (also fantastic). While the movie is technically a remake/reboot of the 80s television series—and there are more than a few nods to it and cameos from it—this new movie feels very solidly like its own beast, culminating in one of the best action movies of the decade. Do yourself a favor and give it a watch.
