- Chris C1 mars 2025The film doesn't really break new ground as it's ultimately a classic underdog story, but that doesn't make it any less effective. The themes of redemption, understanding, acceptance, and personal pride are still thoughtfully portrayed and keep you wanting to see what happens next. Micheal Ward is great, but it's really Bill Nighy who steals every scene he's in. While the plot is about sports, you definitely don't need to be a fan of sports (or have any real knowledge of football/soccer) to understand what's going on and enjoy things. Sit back, relax, and take in this heartwarming story.
