- Elli15 novembre 2024It was both so cool and so cliche. A true body horror movie but with all the wrong typical things from terrible movies like Scream and Halloween. It could have been so good but the cliches really drags it down.
- Scott13 mars 2025Please welcome Art the Clown! This is the first real glimpse of Art that we see as he is the new actor behind the mask. Even though this is the first movie for the new actor David Howard Thornton, you can tell right away he's a natural at playing the role. Art doesn't speak a word and his meme theatrics are executed to perfection. It makes watching a scary movie actually fun, which is hard to believe. Yes, there is lots of gore, but it's not as scary knowing Art is natural-born comedian who plays a part of a deranged man in a clown outfit. The storyline was good, but the later movies are even better. You have to start with this movie first, then watch Terrifier 2 and 3 after this and you'll come to enjoy the series much more. Who knew a scary clown would be so much fun? Thanks!

It lacks the depth and charm that the sequels so surprisingly introduce, as well as any characters to really fall in love with and root for. Watch it if you must, but be advised: the sequels are better.

- Nyxus_29 janvier 2026Eh, it passed the time. I don't know what I was expecting, but those of you with more common sense should hopefully know what's in store for you: mindless killing and gore. Not my cup of tea, really. The acting was awful for most of the characters, save a small handful.
- cloudsrival5 février 2025It's immediately clear at the beginning of the movie that Art the Clown is just a skinny human dude with no special skills or superpowers, but whenever a victim overpowers Art, they give him a lil slap and then run away screaming. Tara, for example, is initially depicted as capable and resourceful, and yet her MO is to disarm him and then run and hide. That lazy writing style extends a promising beginning into 40 minutes of skippable chase scenes with a splattering of extremely gruesome imagery. The movie takes place in NEW YORK, but not even the tough men in the movie are able to fight Art. Buddy, I've been to NYC pizza shops in the middle of the night, and there's no way one of those guys could be killed so easily. Movies like this make me appreciate better-crafted slasher films like "You're Next" that much more. Not sure why it has such a cult following, other than that it has gore so extreme that it's sometimes funny. But Evil Dead still does that better.

- Das_Lama17 juin 2025Watching two scenes of this movie challenged my belief that the documentary Idiocracy was set 500 years in the future. This movie was just glorification of murder, mayhem, and torture for no good reason. I submit that this movie was terrible and we are only 50 years away from the Idiocracy dystopia. The positive part, I guess, is at least the incel folks who like this movie will get hand jobs at Costco and Starbucks in their lifetime.
