- Austen27 juin 2026Swapped's story felt overdone and generic with a predictable plot and animation that feels halfway between AI Slop and a Pixar copycat. It's a fun watch when you want to shut your brain off and enjoy the decently unique creature designs of plant bird, oversized chipmunk, and fire wolf (literally the name of the villain). Overall this movie could not be more derivative if it tried while also still being made by real people.

Olly and Avy are the cutest characters, and their journey teaches a great lesson about empathy 🫂 and staying united. Skydance Animation created a wonderful story about learning to see things from someone else's perspective. The ending was emotional and left me feeling completely overwhelmed.
- DavChar15 mai 2026A nice movie reminding us that we need to work together to make life easier for everyone. Ultimately, we all have the same goals (except for the fire wolf). There are some very interesting imaginative creatures, and while the idea of walking a mile in someone else's shoes is old, the use here is inventive. Finally, something original from the industry.
- JAMES LOST19 mai 2026Swapped feels like a mix between Pixar and Freaky Friday, wrapped in a visually impressive but very safe story. The animation and worldbuilding are genuinely beautiful, and the body-swap humor keeps the movie entertaining enough throughout. Beneath that, there’s a sincere message about empathy and understanding others that does land emotionally at times. At the same time, the movie rarely surprises you. Almost every emotional beat and plot twist feels predictable and it often leans too heavily on familiar Pixar-style formulas without reaching the same emotional depth or originality. Some moments also try a little too hard to force the message onto the audience instead of trusting the story itself. Still, even with all its flaws, Swapped remains an easy, enjoyable comfort-watch. Verdict: Swapped is like ordering Pixar on Temu, but honestly still had a pretty good evening.
