Snake Eyes
- Joe G8 mars 2026Not nearly as bad as its reputation suggests, or as bad as memory might lead you to believe. The story itself is fine: a fairly standard conspiracy built on corruption and shady dealings. Nothing remarkable, but functional. Nicolas Cage is, at times, too much. The dialogue can be difficult to stomach, and some of the acting drifts toward the theatrical. It’s not a great film. But the camera work alone makes it worth watching. Brian De Palma constantly shifts perspective, moving the camera and field of vision in ways that reveal multiple viewpoints of the same moment. The editing supports this approach with a meticulous attention to how scenes unfold and how information is revealed. It’s a technical exercise in staging and perspective. Without that, this movie would be completely worthless.
- TheSacredAdmirer6 février 2026Cage is fun to watch, as always, but... idk. Yawn.
- George Bananza9 décembre 2025A guy rolls “🎲🎲” at the casino.
- 0 115 novembre 2025De Palma's best mystery/thriller.
- Rocket97625 septembre 2025Someone should look into Brian Depalma demonic channelling future events. This movie predicts Charlie Kirk's assassination to the letter, same name, white outfit, shot in the same place, gov corruption its all there but for real. EVERYONE close to him (Zionists) we're part of the murder. AND THEY GOT AWAY WITH IT. only thing in common otherwise is Trump who is at the UN creating a covenant with many. It's just too creepy. Come Jesus come.
- HermanAngst27 octobre 2025Here for the tin foil hat parade. Nick is great, as always. Don't give me that wounded look. You haven't got the face for it. Gary is Gary, fine. Chicks are fine. Filming is good. Story is not good.
- Richard5 octobre 2025There’s something electric about watching a Brian De Palma thriller on the big screen. I remember sinking into that worn velvet seat, the lights dimming and the opening shot pulling me straight into the chaos of Atlantic City. Nicolas Cage was at full throttle, sweaty, sleazy, and magnetic. His performance filled the room like cigarette smoke in a casino lounge: overwhelming, intoxicating and impossible to ignore. Sure, the plot goes off the rails by the final act, but in that dark theater, it didn’t matter. It was about the ride.
- MrMitchie27 septembre 2025I rewatched this movie again tonight. It is a good run of the mil good cop busts bad cop movie. This movie was created at a time when Nicholas cage was at his peak era in Hollywood. It is worth a watch
- Alex28 mai 2025Does not age well. Pretty solid overacting by Nick Cage tho.
- DrMonocle19 novembre 2024Movie was far too smart for me. 0 Gambling
