- Kevin Ward4 juillet 2025Cute and effective. Lola Campbell carries the film in every sense as a grieving Georgie left on her own when her mother passes away. She gets by stealing bicycles and pawning or selling for scrap. Smart and resilient and clearly capable of surviving on her own, but when her estranged father (Harris Dickinson) comes back into her life it opens the door for the possibility that maybe she does need (or rather, want) for someone to take care of her. Mostly predictable but it’s still a very cute story and when the voicemail scene hits, I was caught off guard how moving that scene would be. I think I would have liked to have gotten more background on Dickinson’s character. I think there was potential for him to have an equally compelling arc, but as it stands Lola’s performance and arc was really well done.

Banlieue de Londres. Georgie 12 ans vit seule depuis la mort de sa mère. Elle se débrouille au quotidien pour éloigner les travailleurs sociaux, raconte qu’elle vit avec un oncle, gagne de l’argent en faisant un trafic de vélo avec son ami Ali.
