Dernier espoir des habitants de Poussière, Rango s’improvise shérif et n’a d’autre choix que d’assumer ses nouvelles fonctions. Affrontant des personnages plus extravagants les uns que les autres, Rango va‐t‐il devenir le héros qu’il se contentait jusque‐là d’imiter ?

You can feel the spirit of Leone and Eastwood in the framing, music, pacing, and even in the characters’ gazes. The creators don’t just play with the genre; they show it genuine respect. Rango is not only great entertainment but also a love letter to genre cinema. Johnny Depp performs with a mannered charm that perfectly fits the neurotic lead. He's full of exaggeration, yet with a precise sense of tone. He brings the character a mix of lightness, oddity, and charisma that would be hard to capture without his voice.

- Varun19 octobre 2024Rewatching after 12 years and this movie absolutely slaps! Amazing animation with so much style, unique characters, great music, epic backgrounds, fun action sequences, good humour and a decent plot. I had no idea it won an Oscar until I searched it up recently, definitely well deserved. This is now tempting me to replay Red Dead Redemption 2 lol. I like Westerns because they have the potential to tell endlessly fascinating and entertaining stories that reveal a lot about the human condition.

- Eric8 mai 2025If i had a nickel for every time Gore Verbinski directed a movie with Johnny Depp as the protagonist and Bill Nighy as the antagonist and it ended up being a masterpiece I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but weird it’s happened twice. Also yes I do live with the fact my favorite animated animal movie is produced by nickelodeon.
