This movie definately did not age well, but the sound track is extremely nostalgic with a ton of hits from the 1980s. It's interesting to note the evolution of the teen sex comedy, as this land's somewhere between Animal House and American Pie. Not a must watch, but I'm not mad about seeing it.

If gratuitous nudity alone were being scored, it'd be a solid 5 out of 5. Its just... Well, a plot and some characters would be nice too.

Private School (1983) is a rollicking, cheeky time capsule of '80s teen comedy that makes getting an education at an elite boarding school look like the wildest party you never got invited to, complete with the ultra-sexy Phoebe Cates and Betsy Russell stealing every scene with their charm and wit. The film follows the misadventures of Cherryvale Academy’s students, where learning takes a backseat to hormone-fueled hijinks, especially from frat boys Matthew Modine, Michael Zorek, and the dim-witted Roy, who stumble into shenanigans like sneaking into the girls’ dorm or staging pranks that’d make a principal’s hair turn gray. With its blend of slapstick humor, risqué gags—like that iconic shower scene—and a soundtrack that screams leg warmers and neon, it’s a nostalgic joyride that reminds you why the '80s were the era of “study hard, party harder.” This guilty pleasure is a fun walk down memory lane, proving high school was less about textbooks and more about dodging detention with a wink and a smile.
