Chantage Notations et commentaires
- svei-1 jI love the recent indie auteur phase of Jonah Hill. Its maybe slightly thin stuff but also more entertaining compared to a lot of the things he emulates. Its still pensive and beautiful, but also fast and full of references.
- Hakihiko-2 jA Frustrating Waste of Potential "Outcome" had all the ingredients to be something far more compelling than what it ultimately delivers. With such a capable cast and a premise that seemed to promise something engaging, it is disappointing to see how little the film manages to do with its potential. Instead of drawing me in, it quickly became a struggle just to stay invested. The performances are probably the only aspect that feels consistently competent. The cast clearly has the talent to elevate the material, and there are brief moments where that potential shows. But even strong performances can only do so much when the film gives them so little to work with. Visually, the film is serviceable, but nothing about its presentation stands out enough to compensate for its deeper issues. The direction feels oddly flat, and the soundtrack does little to create atmosphere or emotional weight. The script is where everything falls apart. The pacing drags, scenes feel stretched without purpose, and the writing never manages to build tension, emotion, or real momentum. Instead of feeling deliberate, the film feels empty and frustratingly lifeless. That is what makes it most disappointing. It is not just that it falls short, but that it wastes a cast capable of carrying something far better. There is very little here that feels earned or memorable. In the end, it is the kind of film that leaves more frustration than anything else. What should have been engaging turns into an exhausting experience, making it feel less like a missed opportunity and more like a complete waste of potential.
- Wilson Girardi-3 jI always thought comedy was the kind of movie that made you laugh, drama made you cry, suspense made you tense, and mystery made you think. Maybe they must have created a new genre, you just watching nothing happening... Who knows!
- PlexecutionerX-4 jTurned it off halfway through... it's just Keanu being Keanu, but the worst part was Jonah Hill... so obnoxious and unwatchable.
- dalbass72-4 jApparently this is a comedy. Stay for the Scorcese bowling alley scene then find a better movie to watch.
- Parallax Abstraction-6 jDidn't know about this until it popped up on Plex. Very different from what you expect from Keanu Reeves and it's nice to see him trying some non-action stuff. This is a no frills dramedy that relies on its big name cast and script to do the bulk of the lifting and I think it does it well. It comments on the vapidness of Hollywood and the people in it, cancel culture over non-issues instead of real ones (which is very real and nice to see called out by people with clout), obsession with the opinions of others, a bit about the exploitation of child actors and about coming to terms with and atoning for one's past. And it does it all in a tight 90 minutes without wasting the audience's time. Not something I'll remember forever, but a solid watch that's both funny and makes you think just a little bit.
- cultfilmliker-6 jJonah definitely feels like a Louis CK defender “Everyone’s done differing levels of bad things; some of us just haven’t been caught / acknowledged them” might not be the winning theme he thought it was. Kinda worked for The Drama! Ivy Wolk is so funny, and she is the highlight of this film imo. Marty was a close #2 Yeah, very muddled messaging! Interesting for such a big, A-list cast. It just scratches the surface on a lot of complicated issues!. Wholesome enough and has a couple of good comedic moments! There had to have been so much left on the cutting room floor with this runtime. Roy Wood Jr and Atsuko Okatsuka were criminally underused. Currently Ranked #25/44 in 2026 Ranked
- A. Constantin-4 jI expected more with all the big names involved but it ended up feeling pretty flat.
- ርልዪረ-5 jThis is the problem with "made for streaming" movies, they have money (our subscription money) to spend and they're going to figure out a way to spend it. My wife and I settled in to enjoy it but after 10 minutes she stormed away "I don't want to watch this." Then at the 12 minute mark I came here to write my review, maybe it will save a few others from wasting their time. The first two minutes or so are cute, a young boy, representing Reef Hawk, is depicted dancing and singing on the old Johnny Carson show. But as soon as it switches to modern time it goes way downhill. To me, unwatchable. I really like Keanu Reeves, he is good in almost everything, here he is the adult Reef Hawk needing to deal with some professional publicity issues. But the script is overly dirty and graphic, the things they are saying are NOT entertaining but just a big turn-off. Juvenile might be the best one-word description. To me watching this is just a waste of time, especially with so many options.
- John-5 jWait for it…
- darren.683-5 jThis was unexpected, and wonderful. The entire cast was superb.
- michael.b562-6 jWonderful
- Januar Hartanto-4 jWTH? :-(
- DJMOK-5 jOh wow I didn’t think anything could beat THE BRIDE as one of the worst pile of crap films but this is by far the worst of the worst I’ve seen.
- Moldy-5 jIt could have been better if Jonah Hill only directed it or only acted in it, apparently Jonah can't direct himself.
