Act- is a comedic short documenting Stan, a young visionary director, and his trusted partner, Geoff, in their most ambitious quest yet to make their third feature "The Drifter", a self-financed arthouse Western. This caught the eye of documentary filmmaker, Robert, who takes us behind the scenes into the filmmaking duo's riveting creative processes, insights on life, and ultimately, what makes their films so... unique. The resulting documentary follows Stan and Geoff as we see how they handle production issues - ranging from a smoke obsession gone wrong, the antics of the lead actor, and run-ins with the law. Will they be able to keep the production afloat? And more importantly, their dreams?
