- M08Y15 octobre 2025Kontroll is one of the most interesting and fun films I've ever seen. It somehow builds an entire world around train ticket inspectors?! I've stumbled across yet another Hungarian Gem with Kontroll. It's a fascinating and unique film where we follow the life of Bulcsú and his fellow ticket inspectors in their strange and quirky lives policing the Hungarian Subway system. All of the characters are distinctly individuals yet all share the same weary camaraderie. Their lives are ones of hanging out with their friends, competing with their colleagues, brawling with the public and messing around afterwards. While there are plenty of unusual and strange happenings in Kontroll, there is certainly never a dull moment. I was glued to the screen for it's entire runtime. If you ever get the time, I highly recommend giving Kontroll a go, you won't regret it. As it happens, Kontroll has started a new list for me. "Bluray White Whales"
