- Doc Worm15 avril 2026A mild step down from the original ginger snaps. Its nice to see Bridgette more fleshed out as she was the stronger character from the first film in my opinion. Takes a different direction and tells an interesting story. Cool to see an early role from Tatiana Maslany even if some of her delivery is a bit stilted. Most of the movie takes place in an asylum and a cabin with textured, detailed and solid sets. In other hands, these would be much more basic. Great sound design, editing, some nice tracking shots and some excellent practical special effects. A bit unfocused at times, but surprisingly strong for it being a sequel to a story that had a definitive end. If you enjoyed the original, there is plenty more chew here on in unleashed.
- Hipster ZOMBIE1 février 2025Ginger Snaps 2 lacks the sisterhood of its two leads from the original film. It’s a decent follow up with a crazy ending but overall is kind of a step down from the previous film. Side note: Orphan Black’s Tatiana Maslany makes her first film appearance here as a creepy kid.
