- Kevin Ward6 août 2025Takes a few awkward steps out of the gate to “establish” our new characters before thrusting us into the body swap. And when the body swap happens it takes a little (perhaps a lot) of getting used to which characters are which. Once the film finds it’s bearings though, it’s a really entertaining and funny, family affair. Lindsay Lohan and JLC still got it. I was happy to see their characters (bodies) remain front and center. Lots of really funny supporting roles/cameos. I loved Vanessa Bayer’s palm reader, especially. Very much in keeping with the tone and tempo of the preview film. I was skeptical when this was announced, but this was a delight. Bonus half star for the 🇵🇭 representation. Needed more 🇵🇭food though.

It leans into the nostalgia we love, then cranks up the chaos with sharper jokes, bigger heart, and genuinely fun twists on the body-swap madness. The cast clearly has a blast, the humour lands for both teens and adults, and underneath all the silliness there’s a surprisingly sweet message about family, growing up, and actually listening to each other. It’s funny, feel-good, and exactly the kind of movie that leaves you smiling on the way out.
