There's filmmakers that know the pulse of their audience so well that they play it like music— when to hold back, make us laugh, have a real moment, and then finally show all the cards. When it's done right, it's a magic trick and Fandango is a perfect example of total precision. This is 1985 and many have tried to emulate since. Timeless gem.
