Dune : Première partie Notations et commentaires
- Tanalien2 novembre 2024The epic scope of director Denis Villeneuve’s Dune is so magnificent that 1962’s Lawrence of Arabia and 1977’s Star Wars have company. With its immense vistas of curving sand dunes, two-hundred-miles per hour winds ripping through desert plains, and glowing spice hidden in plain-sight, Dune brings Frank Herbert’s world off the page and into our grasp through the eyes of Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet).
- Samy3232-6 jIt's quite long. Before giving my opinion, I need to see part 2. I decided to watch it mainly because of the number of actors; we'll see how it ends.
- shikairo10 avril 2026this movie is overrated and fucking ass do not watch i fell asleep
- Zokkiie30 mars 2026Totally mind-blowing. The world feels huge and real, like you could get lost in it for days, and everything just pulls you in. The cast is magnetic, the tension hits at all the right moments, and the visuals? Absolutely jaw-dropping. The sound and music just make everything feel massive. It’s one of those experiences that sticks with you long after it’s over—intense, beautiful, and impossible to forget.
- Donald Winzer30 mars 2025Almost perfect movie. Great to fall asleep to, even better to watch.
- Cherryflix11 janvier 2026Cool ass sand worms and shit. Watch this.
- darsan16 novembre 2025the first time i watched this in the cinema the 15 year old version of me didn't appreciate this masterpiece so i had to lock in this time to prepare for dune: messiah next yr and i absolutely loved it, the story, the visuals and hans zimmer's score is absolutely phenomenal.
- COCO24 mars 2025The commitment here to adapting exactly half a book is staggering.
- daikar25 février 2026Absolute Cinema
- M08Y22 mars 2026The best sci-fi movie I've seen in years. I'd put off watching Dune for a few years for some reason and I am pleasantly surprised. Dune contains the best world building I've seen in years, to the point where I have been inspired to actually read the books. The fall of the house of Atreides was truly beautiful thing to watch, but REALLY could have benefited from a bit more time to flesh out the setup to the fall. I'm really looking forward to reading the novel. The casting is largely superb... but man, Jason Momoa only plays himself and I don't like Zendaya. The 4K bluray was excellent, but the lack of IMAX ratio on the 4K is true loss. I'd sell my first born to see it in IMAX at home.
- Wasiur Rahman8 octobre 2025Sense of scale in the CGI and the sound of the mega structures sends chills.
- jackmeat12 août 2025My quick rating - 8.0/10. Finally. I will spare any comparison to the books since that typically makes the movies look poor and I read them when I was like 12 years old, so I don't remember all that much of them in the first place. I say finally, though, because this version of Dune seems to have brought the elements needed for a solid adaptation together. Visually, this flick is absolutely spot on. When the vast majority of your locations need to be a giant desert, it makes it difficult to spruce them up. Yet the way this looks does capture the vast nothingness of the desert which when needed and there is something that makes that insignificant small thing appear huge. And yes, even if you are not a fan, I am sure you are aware that there are giant worms under the ground on this planet, so I won't keep alluding to them. They look astonishingly good, and the attention to detail for their movements and the like was excellent (hopefully you saw this in the theater or have a quality 4K setup at home.) The story itself was a bit difficult to follow right from the onset, which I think could've helped the audience out a bit with a little backstory of the hierarchy of the characters. The main gist is that spice is basically gold, and whoever controls the spice market is at the top of the food chain. So, in order to move up that ladder, certain parts of this story must head to one of the planets where there is this commodity and basically overtake it. There is more to it than that. I am giving a quick idea. In what is clearly just the beginning of the story (it says so at the start, no spoiler), the focus here was a bit more on the characters, which is why I think they skimped a bit since the entire world-building portion is yet to come. Still, the ones that we have been introduced to are portrayed well and give performances that do draw you into what the plight of each truly is. I certainly expect to see Timothée Chalamet around Oscar time as the lead in this. There always have to be some ulterior motives to people, and this flick is no exception. If you are aware, there was a 1984 Dune by David Lynch made that was actually quite good as well, and if you are familiar with his work, it is a bit more "creative" than this one. Lack of a better word for anything Lynch does. And I felt like this version was more of a remake of that film than it was a reimagining of the books themselves. But as I said, I wouldn't be the best judge on the book portion. Overall, this is an exceptional film and one that should be seen by nearly all. There is nothing in here that needs to keep viewers away. Even the action scenes that are so well choreographed don't venture into violence much.
- Aryan Mishra20 mars 2026Good movie
