Following a nervous breakdown, the successful financial manager Wilhelm Löring is admitted to a psychiatric clinic. Completely unaware of his illness, he begins recruiting people with special skills from his therapy group to take the clinic public. Gradually, he grows fond of his associates, and the financial plan becomes secondary.
