En 1980, le groupe new wave Devo a connu un succès retentissant avec « Whip It » et a connu un succès grand public grâce à son message de « dévolution » sociétale, formé en réponse à la fusillade de Kent State en 1970.

DEVO: Pop, rock et régression Notations et commentaires
- Scott Smith24 septembre 2025I've always loved Devo since I was a teenager. What I wasn't ready for was how political they were as a band when they started out at Kent State. Who knew? I always found their concept of De-evolution as humorous, but I never it knew it had serious political and philisophical roots. This was a great look back at the start of the band and where they took it. Still a big fan today.
- Michael Surber18 septembre 2025Been a DEVO fan since the first album so I was looking forward to this. Great background of the early years but you can forget anything post-WB. They gloss over their Enigma releases in about a minute and then ZERO mention of their final album release at all. This is particularly disappointing since it was easily one of their best albums. Still worth watching, these guys are the real deal.
- Richard Scott Long31 août 2025Very interesting. De-evolution is how they believe
- falker23 août 2025"So Bob and I talked to Mark about de-evolution." A fascinating watch. These men were just in a completely different universe, and they knew it. Which makes them even cooler.
