Malgré l'atrocité des crimes commis, Helen croit en la rédemption de Matthew et l'aide à se défendre en appel au sein des différentes juridictions américaines. Portée par une foi inébranlable, elle devient sa conseillère spirituelle et l'accompagne tout au long de son chemin vers le couloir de la mort afin de sauver son âme.

- cultfilmliker4 juin 2025Starting off with an emotional Eddie Vedder performance in ‘95 💪🏼💪🏼 Tim Robbins directing a movie set in a prison is so odd. He just can’t get enough! Ngl the “giving a ticket to a nun” scene was hilarious That countdown was the most strangely sickening thing. Disgusting. Incredible cast. SURPRISE JACK BLACK APPEARANCE! And Bobby from Scary Movie! lol did feel like Susan was overacting a little bit but please don’t tell her I said that. Phenomenal direction too! The subtleties during the dialogue were 👌🏼 Good writing! I think this inspired my favorite, most devastating episode of Law & Order “Aftershock”. That episode make me bawl every time but it’s so good!! The assertion that defending a person’s life is bad and therefore communist is quite telling! Good god how we brainwashed the West Sad that the idea that maybe we don’t need capital punishment is still unfeasible for a large number of Americans! Should be required viewing for the hell-bent revengers advocating for death on behalf of a massacre-victim who is a teacher whose class I threw up in once in elementary school! Also can attest from experience that having a family member in prison for an extended sentence is not easy either! Watched bc Mulaney talked about Sean Penn’s performance on his show last week. Not disappointed! Added to The One True Religion
- Joe M2 février 2026Does a pretty good job at masking the deed of a child rapist/murderer so you get choked up and second guess capital punishment. I kept waiting for a twist, but it was pretty straightforward and boring.
