- figjamuk-5 jAbsolutely amazing film. Both Emma S and Jesse P deserved an Oscar or at least a nomination. It makes you think. Very well written and acted A*
- Wes-5 jAmazing movie, kept me guessing what would happen till the very end!
- hmpowe325 novembre 2025Great movie. Great performance by Meth Damon and cat pee woman.
- Austin Burke2 novembre 2025Bugonia is a strange, albeit honest, examination of the human condition and a look at how trauma can dictate decision-making. At the same time, this is an often-insane dark comedy that kept me on the edge of my seat and provided one of the most fascinating experiences of the year. Lanthimos is in his bag with the visuals, cinematography, and ability to get the best out of two top-tier actors. Where we ultimately wind up will frustrate some, but the way this film approaches the journey was far more entertaining than even I expected.
- Skibidi Cum Dumpster-6 jIt was great up until the ending..
- sotonin26 novembre 2025Holy…. Shit….. Not what I expected. Great movie though
- Patrick Wai-7 jBugonia is the kind of movie that knows it’s weird, leans all the way in, and then asks you to keep a straight face while it does it. Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons are excellent together and play off each other beautifully, with Stone once again going gloriously all-in on being odd, intense, and completely committed. It’s a strange, over-the-top sci-fi suspense comedy, shot very well, with the director doing a smart job of painting in the backstory and explaining just enough to keep the whole thing afloat, while also sneaking in a little ecological warning for humanity. My main issue is that beneath all the stylish weirdness, the plot is actually pretty predictable and the pacing can feel slow, like the movie is very pleased with itself for taking the scenic route. And while there is a twist at the end, it’s less a jaw-dropping reveal than a “yes, that’s more or less what I figured” moment, so it doesn’t land with quite the punch it seems to think it does. Still, even if it’s more good than great and nowhere near awards-level greatness, it’s an entertainingly bizarre ride with two terrific performances at the center.
- Kevin Ward18 novembre 2025What a blast! Plemons and Stone bouncing off each other is pure pleasure from their deadpan volleys to the way each scene seems to tilt depending on who’s holding the power in the moment. I’m so glad I caught this in a theater, because it looks fantastic. The production design and those slightly skewed Yorgos compositions just pop on a big screen. And I loved that ending. From the moment Plemons teleports to the final shot, it’s Yorgos fully speaking my language. It’s strange, playful, and weirdly triumphant.
- Jonathon Pack25 mars 2026Jesse Plemons, Emma Stone, and Aidan Delbis are all incredible in this. You just know going in that the alien narrative is going to pull you back and forth, and it does so very effectively. Watching this for the second time, now at home, has me loving this film even more.

- MaSheen24 février 2026Predictable. Try too hard to be artsy
- Joe G27 janvier 2026This is what The Killing of a Sacred Deer attempted to accomplish. The metaphor here is heavy-handed in the best possible way, pushed so far that it becomes destabilizing. At no point is it entirely clear whether the main character believes what he’s saying, is constructing the story for his idiot cousin, or is fully deluded by grief. That ambiguity is the point. What’s most unsettling is how often rational viewers will find themselves agreeing with him anyway. The film quietly exposes how thin the line is between delusion and clarity when systems are so obviously broken. Beneath the absurdity is a blunt message: we have far more in common with one another than with our corporate, alien, managerial overlords pretending to be human. It’s sharp, uncomfortable, and deeply controlled, the kind of film that doesn’t soften its intent for accessibility. Likely to be overlooked, but it shouldn’t be. This deserves to be considered among Yorgos Lanthimos’s best work. I’m a little tired of Emma Stone and think they need a break from working together though.
- baumi3731 mars 2026Not a movie - this is art
- Konstantinos Dipsanas22 mars 2026Very different than what I expected, but still brilliant. It's a gripping thriller with an intense atmosphere that won't let go from the beginning all the way to the end
