Mark, Ismael and Johan are boys from the street. Like every year after Christmas, they are looking for Christmas trees for the annual highlight: the Christmas tree burning in Amsterdam North. What seems simple, namely collecting 'used' Christmas trees, turns out to be a difficult task for the boys. bad luck, minor misunderstandings and humiliations follow each other in rapid succession and the three friends become increasingly frustrated. When it seems that they have secrets from each other, their friendship comes under great pressure. The arrival of an outsider closes ranks. This has unintentionally fatal consequences.
