⭐⭐⭐½ – 17 Again – A second shot with familiar rules. This sits comfortably in the body-swap (or size-change) genre, just flipped the other way — instead of wishing to grow up, it’s about getting a chance to be young again. It’s a premise we’ve seen before, but it’s handled well enough here to keep things engaging. At its core, it’s a feel-good film. The themes are familiar: regret, missed opportunities, and the idea that if you could just go back, you’d do things differently. It leans into that without overcomplicating anything, and that simplicity works in its favour. You’re not here for twists — you’re here for the journey. Zac Efron does a solid job carrying the film, balancing the humour with just enough emotional weight to sell the concept. There’s an easy charm to the whole thing, and it moves along at a pace that never really drags or overstays its welcome. That said, there’s nothing here that truly elevates it into must-see territory. It’s really good at what it does, but it doesn’t have that standout moment or defining feature that makes it essential viewing. It’s the kind of film you enjoy, maybe revisit down the line, but don’t feel compelled to rave about. A good watch, an easy recommendation, and exactly what you expect — no more, no less. 🥤 A classic cola over ice — reliable, enjoyable, and always hits the spot without trying to be anything special.

Great laugh and even better perspective on what adults should be focused on (dad’s point of view as a kid), not everyone should value the material things. Great look on where values should be but aren’t nowadays.

Feel food funny family fun. But there’s an ethical and moral undertone, so faint, it dreams to be a whisper one day.
