Where to Watch Undead Unluck

Come and watch as their formulaic plot meanders through savage and redundant recap segments. Will she fall for he, or will the big bad stop them. I really wanted to like this series. The animation is of good stock, the premise while clinched is workable. The characters all have enough back story as the story moves along to keep you sated as for who they are as characters. What is the problem, why the low rating? Well the story, in my eyes, is doing too much riding on mcguffins. They try to build tension, but it is not believable in the world they are setting. Perhaps this series is intended for a viewer younger than myself, this feels like a Digimon type of show that I watched in front of the CRT many moons ago… The violence tells a different story however, what are we trying to do? What does the series have: Visceral and heavy gore. Cool. Swords, pew pews, and curses. Cool Telegraphed and obvious love connection between two main characters that refuse to accept or acknowledge a love connection. Not cool, not done in a why that is meaningful. A secret organization that wants to kill them, but is that organization a villain or ally? Well that could be cool but not working here. Recaps and anime go hand in hand, but geez this series feels perverse with them. I'll be honest I only got to the conclusion of the rot arch. I do feel a bit disingenuous ragging on it before it's finished, but man this story pacing or what is likely the hollow world it is based on is not it. If you want to watch a gag gore based series this is the series for you, if you wanted it to also have an interesting and well paced story, this is not. p.s. In my due diligence I checked other reviews of the series. Apparently I am at the end of whatever this is before it gets “good” pish on that. Too many series con you with the premise of its only bad at the start, I gave you introductions and first mission and ended feeling unfulfilled.
