Set in Valco, a fictional supermarket in the north-west of England, "Trollied" is an 8-part sitcom that puts a comic twist on one of our most familiar surroundings. Acting deputy manager Julie struggles to assert her authority and fails at almost every attempt to make a good impression on store manager Gavin. She also has something of a crush on Gavin, who manages to rebuff her clumsily executed flirtations--if he's aware of them at all.

Unfortunately the shelves are empty because the delivery lorry hasn't turned up. Gavin then learns that the lorry went to Wigan by mistake and the manager there knows that he can ensure victory by hanging onto it. Gavin will need his best men to recover the lorry - unfortunately he will have to make do with Leighton and Colin.
