Sticks: Cracks del golf Ratings & Reviews
- Junior Reyeshace 6 dSo if you're looking for a realistic premise, this series isn't for you. If you're looking for an original premise for a sports movie/series (a washed-up athlete discovers the next big thing), this is definitely not for you. But if you're a golfer and you're looking for a moderately entertaining TV series that has something to do with golf, and you can suspend your disbelief a little, I think this series is unique because... how often do we get a prestige television comedy exclusively about golf? How often do we get to enjoy a decently high-production comedy with a couple of big names that revolves around golf? Yes! I liked the series 😎👍
- RipLinesMan4 de junio de 2025So like, Event Horizon (1997) was all deep space terror and people goin' nuts in wormholes or hell dimensions or whatever, and Stick is just this ex-golf champ tryna get his life back together with a blow-up flamingo floaty. 😂 Bro, it's wild how different they are but like… emotionally, they both hit this vibe of “yo, I lost everything, now what?” Pryce Cahill in Stick is like, chill and kinda broken but tryna do the right thing — probs what Sam Neill woulda been like if he didn't go full evil demon ship guy. And this Santi kid? He’s got mad potential like Justin from Event Horizon if Justin played golf and didn’t get sucked into space hell. Acting wise, not gonna lie, Event Horizon was more intense and serious — Laurence Fishburne was a legend, no cap. But Stick brings this like, bro-y charm, and it’s got solid heart even when it’s goofy. No eyes being ripped out tho, so don’t expect horror, just like… personal redemption and golf carts. So yeah bro, not the same league, but Stick is worth a cruise if you’re into sports comebacks with inflatable floaties instead of black holes.
- sean.l1226 de octubre de 2025was great until they started with the they them crap stop putting that in ever tv show its annoying
- Jay Marie Bailey16 de noviembre de 2025Loved this show and love Owen Wilson. It follows your typical sports show/movie script/storyboard so if you are looking for something revolutionary this isn't it. Loved the chemistry between main characters. You definitely don't need to like golf to enjoy this but if you do (like myself) then I'd say it is a must watch.
- Jack Blitz23 de julio de 2025Stick is a feel-good sports dramady that does its job, but will leave you wanting more. It tugs on the right heart strings and has some really endearing performances. The writing, on the other hand, can be rather silly and some characters lack believable arcs. The show excels when it focuses on its darker themes, like loss, divorce, and coming of age. It struggles when trying to make the golf and action sequences fit the overall narrative.
- Zercues10 de octubre de 2025Its predictable but a really good watch binged it in a day
- Richard Gilbert29 de julio de 2025Great series, an easy enjoyable watch.
- Alex | Pop Culture Brain18 de julio de 2025A pretty good Marc Maron delivery system
- tomhughesnice27 de septiembre de 2025Sort of Ted Lasso copy but with the most annoying assembly of characters imaginable.
- Roderick Vaughn Bridges26 de septiembre de 2025A great flick that pulls at the Heartstrings. Sometimes life's messy but they find a way to clean it up. Even if you don't like golf you'll like this.
- Cubane7 de agosto de 2025I was expecting some slop that was 1 part Ted Lasso to 1 part Cobra Kai with a pinch of golf mixed in, but I'm enjoying it more than I expected.
- PlexecutionerX6 de agosto de 2025Really enjoyed this show... same touchy/feely type of show as Ted Lasso. Hope this one sticks around for a bit.
- Jameslikesmovies25 de julio de 2025I love this show the acting was great it was also hilarious and the end made exited for season 2.
- Monsieur Jacob16 de julio de 2025I watched this because of owen wilson, his loss hit me hard. I was told it was happy gilmore on xanex. I have to agree. The pacing is slow and season one could have been a 1 hour movie. if you have nothing to watch and dont want to think give it a go. Extra star Owen Wilson RIP.
