Space Force was a comedy with genuine promise, built around a clever and timely concept: the founding of a brand-new military branch. While comedies about military life are nothing new, this was one of the first to satirize the bureaucratic chaos, political interference, and cultural growing pains of creating a service from scratch. At times, the humor leaned too far into the absurd, and some depictions of military procedure were clearly unrealistic—but to be fair, the show was never aiming for realism. It was a straight-up comedy. What carried the series was its amazing cast and collection of unique, eccentric characters, who brought warmth and energy to even the weaker episodes. The mix of satire, workplace comedy, and occasional heartfelt moments hinted at something more substantial beneath the jokes. While reception to the first two seasons was mixed, the show felt like it was still finding its footing. Given time, a third season could have refined the tone and fully delivered on its endless potential.

It's a really good show. It felt like they took one actor from every show I watch.
