It was a straight-up comedy. What carried the series was its amazing cast and collection of unique, eccentric characters, who brought warmth and energy to even the weaker episodes. The mix of satire, workplace comedy, and occasional heartfelt moments hinted at something more substantial beneath the jokes. While reception to the first two seasons was mixed, the show felt like it was still finding its footing.
