- OdinTheRavenKing16 de mayo de 2026## Synopsis A comedy story where Steve Carell plays a father, who is an acclaimed author, who goes to check on his daughter who is going through a divorce. While there he is asked to become a guest teacher for the semester. ## Review This is everything you loved about Steve Carell in [[The Office]] plays an unbelievably funny father. The right level of Dad jokes and actual jokes, along with a great father trying to guide his daughter through a terrible time. He is a true star in this show and does a great job of lifting everyone up to his level. Phil Dunster, Jamie from [[Ted Lasso]], does a great job in playing the same self-absorbed jerk. I think the setting is super outstanding. It is the setting you most likely think of when discussion a small college in the northeast. Years ago, I was an adjunct professor and loved being able to walk the old campus. So watching this really brings back this desire to teach at an older institution. I love this story. It is incredibly funny and sweet. Steve's character trying to defend his daughter from Phil's character and the snarky remarks is just outstanding. The bonding that happens as well between father and daughter just makes anyone want to call their parents. Also, the kids' defiance to Rooster, and friendship, make for an incredible amount of comedy. ## [My Rating] This is going to be one of my favorite shows. It very much reminds me of [[Shrinking]] with a different style of comedy and a different set of problems the characters are dealing with. I find the immorality of the mom is incredibly annoying for a brilliant adult child to accept. She is so rude, selfish, and destructive which kind of goes against more modern view for the current generation. That frustration does add for an interesting story, and amazing characters. This is a 9, and I look forward to each episode. ## [Parental Rating] There is a lot of language, drug use, and sex scenes. However, these sex scenes do not show any nudity, but there is a lot of suggestion and some… overly size shirts to hide things. My Dad would not be able to get past the language I don't think. It is a lot, but I do think that my Mom would enjoy this story. It is enough of a family story that might keep her entertained and be able to look past the language and sex. Approved by Mom and rejected by Dad.
- duomat6 de abril de 2026It started out a little slow, but has grown on me quickly. I would say the humor is meant for a more mature audience. There has yet to be an episode where I have not had at least one full laugh. There are so few shows that bring joy any more that it is definitely worth the watch.
