Set in the mid-’90s and centred on a group of lovable misfits in a high school AV club, it’s a nostalgic coming-of-age comedy that celebrates awkwardness, first crushes, and the glorious chaos of adolescence. The show captures that authentic mix of cringe and heart, blending retro quirks with universal teenage struggles. It’s not trying to reinvent the genre; it just wants to remind you what it felt like to be young, uncertain, and recording your life on camcorders that weighed more than you did. It’s funny, sweet, and occasionally touching — the kind of series that feels like rewatching an old home video: a little grainy, a little awkward, but impossible not to smile at.
