Wonder Woman
Directed by Patty Jenkins- TomVader1 de abril de 2026It's good, but I felt like it ran too long. The storyline is interesting, although the end felt a bit called in, and the heavy CGI wasn't that great. I didn't watch the 80's show, and never read any Wonder Woman comics. That being said, as a fan of comics in general, this presented like a pretty good comic story arc that could have ended up as a trade paperback. One thing that still bothers me a bit was that they tried to explain Gal Godot's accent by other actors trying to emulate it like they all had it, but it was inconsistent and not as thick, so you're left wondering why Diana speaks with a thick accent, but nobody else in Themyscira really did.
- flavo434 de diciembre de 2025Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman revitalized the superhero genre with a fresh blend of myth, history, and heart. Gal Gadot shines as Diana, delivering a performance that balances strength, compassion, and charisma. Setting the story during World War I was a brilliant choice, grounding the fantastical elements in a real historical backdrop and allowing the film to explore themes of war, humanity, and hope. The action sequences are breathtaking, from the Amazon warriors training on Themyscira to Diana charging across No Man’s Land in one of the most iconic superhero moments ever filmed. Supporting characters, including Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor and his ragtag team, add humor and depth, while the romance feels genuine without overshadowing the larger narrative. The only shortcoming lies in the final villain, who feels underwhelming compared to the rich DC Universe. Still, the film remains inspiring, empowering, and a standout in modern superhero cinema.
- Zokkiie14 de marzo de 2026Really enjoyed this one. Gal Gadot fits the role naturally and brings a lot of sincerity and charm to it, which makes the character easy to root for. The action is fun and there are some great moments throughout. It keeps a good pace for most of the movie too. The only part that didn’t fully work for me was the ending, which gets a bit too over-the-top compared to the rest. Still, it’s a very entertaining superhero film and one I’m always happy to revisit.
