- vincent veiss25 de febrero de 2026Don't get me wrong it was really interesting and I was entertained watching this, but the ending was incredibly underwhelming and it didn't feel complete. Kinda disappointed mainly because of how long I've been meaning to watch this movie just to get that ending
- Eric Bakke26 de enero de 2025The way the music and pacing come together creates this almost hypnotic atmosphere, pulling you deep into the story. And then, of course, there’s Daniel Day-Lewis—who’s just freaking amazing.
- Hakihiko4 de febrero de 2026Cold, Powerful, and Unforgiving "There Will Be Blood" is a masterfully crafted film, imposing and intense, driven by atmosphere, ambition, and one of the most commanding performances in modern cinema. It's not an easy or warm watch, but it's undeniably powerful and deeply unsettling. The film's greatest strength is its tone. From the opening moments, it establishes a sense of isolation, greed, and moral decay that never lets go. Paul Thomas Anderson's direction is precise and deliberate, allowing scenes to unfold with a slow, almost oppressive rhythm that reinforces the film's themes. Daniel Day-Lewis delivers an extraordinary performance. His portrayal is magnetic, terrifying, and fascinating, anchoring the entire film with sheer presence. The character is monstrous yet compelling, and watching his descent is both mesmerizing and disturbing. Visually, the film is striking. The cinematography and use of space create a feeling of emptiness and dominance, while the unconventional score adds to the tension and unease in a way that feels bold and effective. "There Will Be Blood" is a formidable piece of cinema: austere, ambitious, unforgettable and its craftsmanship and performances are exceptional.

- Manuel Frangis25 de enero de 2026I just watched There Will Be Blood and I give it 5 out of 5 stars. I wish I could rate this movie a 10 out of 10, but Plex only allows one through five, and this is absolutely a full five. From the very first moments, the film pulls you in without holding your hand. It trusts you to watch, listen, and feel. There is no rush, no filler, and no wasted time. Everything you see matters, even when no one is speaking. Daniel Plainview is one of the most intense characters I have ever watched on screen. Daniel Day Lewis gives a performance that feels less like acting and more like witnessing a real man unravel over time. You do not just watch Daniel succeed. You watch what that success costs him. His ambition is powerful, but it is also terrifying. The movie never tries to make him likable, and that honesty is what makes the story so strong. What surprised me most is that the movie never feels slow. Even the quiet scenes are full of tension. You are always waiting for something to break, and when it does, it feels earned. The music adds to that unease in a way that is uncomfortable but perfect. It makes you feel like something is wrong even before you know why. That feeling stays with you long after the scene ends. The relationship between Daniel and H.W. is one of the most heartbreaking parts of the film. It shows how love, control, and pride can become twisted when someone values power more than people. Daniel wants to be seen as a father, but he never truly learns how to be one. Watching that bond fall apart is painful, not because of big emotional speeches, but because of what is never said. Eli Sunday is also a fascinating character. He represents religion used as a tool rather than a source of comfort. The film does not say that faith itself is the problem. It shows how belief can be abused the same way money can. Daniel and Eli are more alike than either of them would admit. They just worship different things. Visually, the movie is beautiful in a harsh and empty way. The landscapes feel vast and lonely, matching Daniel’s inner world. As his wealth grows, his life becomes smaller. By the end, he has everything he wanted and nothing he needs. That contrast is one of the most powerful messages of the film. This is not a movie you forget after the credits roll. It stays in your head. You think about the characters, the choices, and the cost of unchecked ambition. It does not tell you how to feel. It lets you decide, and that is rare. There Will Be Blood is bold, uncomfortable, and unforgettable. It is one of the greatest movies ever made, and for me, it is absolutely a 5 out of 5.
