For the past six months, he has been receiving therapeutic treatment from her - his analyst. At their last session, the boundary between patient and therapist starts to diminish, and an abstract game of questions and answers takes place. Torn between her high medical ideals and her desire for Alexander eventually leaves her with but a single option: her patient has to go, forever.
