Directed by Todd HollandJimmy, un niño con algunas dificultades de comunicación, logra escapar del centro en el que está internado con ayuda de su medio hermano Corey. En su viaje hacia California, se unen a Haley, una niña en su misma situación, y deciden acudir al concurso de videojuegos que se celebra en Los Angeles cuando descubren que Jimmy es un experto.

A great bad movie that showcases the style of early 90s video game commercials and has a b-plot about a creepy detective who hunts children extrajudiciously, and actively sabotages another man who is looking for his runaway child? Pure nostalgia for that era, if you've ever wanted a trip down memory lane. Pairs well with the live action Mario Bros movie.

It's a fun story, but some things felt so weird and I feel it's too busy promoting the NES and its games that it doesn't give itself time to breathe. The ending just being a full blown trailer basically for Mario 3 is just insane to me but that's a world without YouTube I guess. Also didn't really like the depiction of a clearly autistic child as something that needs to be institutionalized
