Samuel L Jackson acts over the top in this one (when doesn't he?), but it works for this role. It's a simple story, but looks great and the action scenes are suspenseful. Worth a watch if you enjoy Westerns.

Set in 1870s Montana, it follows a young man who returns to fulfill a promise to his father and finds himself caught between a stern sheriff and an unpredictable outsider. Pierce Brosnan and Samuel L. Jackson bring charisma and presence even in simple scenes, and the dusty Western setting works well for the story's tone. The film doesn't reinvent the genre: at times the plot seems predictable and relies on clichés, but it still entertains and maintains interest thanks to its shootouts, twists, and narrative energy. My rating: 8/10.

- Kristian Odland30 de julio de 2025Samuel L. Jackson must be exhausted...he carries this entire movie on his back. His performance is really great. As is Pierce Brosnan. If it weren't for Nick Fury and James Bond this mid-tier western would be lost in a sea of mediocrity. If you are craving an old west escape this is pretty entertaining for what it is and definitely worth checking out.
