When you are told in plain english what is going on in the movie, and yet, you know for sure it's some thing else, and then in the end, everything comes full circle and you marvel at the genius of the entire experience. What a great movie. Being a period piece and the subject matter, I always feared it was a rip off of the Houdini legend or something. But it's not. It's authentically new and clever and deeply engrossing. You can only watch it for the first time, once. So save that experience for a time when you can give it your full attention, because it's full of nuance while still being direct. It's Christopher Nolan at his best.
- Jay Marie Bailey31 de mayo de 2026Gripping, just gripping until the very end. Jackman & Bale draw you in to their world. The score builds the intensity as is typical for every Nolan film. I'm not sure how this could be improved upon. Found it very interesting that Caine was used in the magic related Now You See Me movies, he really adds that gravitas.
