- Spencer MB19 de marzo de 2026*Watched the "Extended Cut" I enjoyed this the first time I watched it, which was also the extended cut, but this second time was pretty... meh. I couldn't agree less with everyone else about the weird chemistry between Gosling and Blunt, she could've been played by anyone else and the results would've been mostly positive. Basically everything before the 1.75 hour mark is pretty good and fun, but then act three shows up and it becomes very rough outside the action, which is consistently good. TLDR: First half is fun narratively, second half is mid. Action is good the whole time.

- rg94001 de noviembre de 2024An aggressively mediocre movie. I think Ryan Gosling is a lot of fun, but him and Emily Blunt lack a lot of chemistry, so their romance isn't very engaging. The humor is a bit hit or miss. It did elicit laughs from me, but a lot less than I was expecting. The movie also struggles with pacing, with it being surprisingly slower than expected, and the core mystery/intrigue being very predictable and bland. I get that's not the main focus of this movie, but considering the slower pacing and the limited impact of the romance and comedy, you'd hope the plot could carry the movie more. The cinematography was pretty good at times though, including a cool meta scene involving split screens. I also do appreciate the focus on stunt people. However, the movie is still extremely disposable and carried solely by Ryan Gosling in most places. I think if you appreciated some of David Leitch's prior movies such as Bullet Train and Deadpool 2, you might appreciate this one more than I did since I found those equally bland and mediocre.

- Chris C29 de noviembre de 2025Top-notch action is available in spades here, which would be enough on its own. But you also get a legitimately funny movie on top of that. As you would hope for a movie about a stunt man, the stunts are fantastic and so much was practical, rather than VFX. It was also a joy to see Gosling get to really stretch his comedic side, with his best turn since "The Nice Guys" (also fantastic). While the movie is technically a remake/reboot of the 80s television series—and there are more than a few nods to it and cameos from it—this new movie feels very solidly like its own beast, culminating in one of the best action movies of the decade. Do yourself a favor and give it a watch.

It's respectful to the classic TV show while cranking up the energy with massive practical stunts, charismatic performances, and a clear love for old-school stunt work. David Leitch leans into what he knows best, and casting Ryan Gosling as Colt Seavers was absolutely the right move. Gosling plays Colt with the perfect mix of charm and humor, exactly the kind of personality fans of the show, like myself, remember. His stunt sequences look and feel real because, for the most part, they are. The commitment in the film to practical effects pays off with some of the most impressive car rolls and crash work you’ll see in a modern action movie. The Sydney setting adds a ton of visual personality, whether it’s high-speed chases skimming along the harbor or big stunt setups staged against the city skyline. The location becomes part of the fun. It also helps give the movie its own flavor instead of trying too hard to imitate the original series beat for beat. I feel that Emily Blunt was a big highlight. She brings sharp comedic timing and plenty of attitude, and her role goes beyond the typical “supporting love interest.” Her character, a director working on a film-within-the-film called Metalstorm, actually ties into the plot in a relevant way, while the chemistry with Gosling works without feeling forced. It’s a dynamic pairing that keeps the story moving and gives the film a little more emotional weight than expected. One thing that immediately stood out to me was the use of Kiss’s I Was Made for Lovin’ You. The song pops up multiple times and fits the tone perfectly. It gives the movie a playful pulse, and honestly, it’s hard not to smile when the soundtrack kicks in. Being a big Kiss fan, that's a fun touch that adds to the overall vibe, even if you’re not on their mailing list. Stick around for the mid-credits scene. Without spoiling anything, it offers a satisfying little bonus that is funny and ties up a few loose ends, including an extra glimpse at the chaos behind the making of Metalstorm. It’s a nice nod to the spirit of the original series — lighthearted, a bit cheeky, and full of appreciation for the craft of stunt performers. In the end, The Fall Guy delivers exactly what it promises with big stunts, great chemistry, and a throwback feel without leaning too heavily on nostalgia. It’s a confident, entertaining reboot-true to the show’s legacy yet standing firmly on its own. Fans of the original will have plenty to enjoy, and newcomers should have no trouble jumping right in. For someone who grew up with the series, I was rather relieved and pretty impressed that they didn't screw this one up.
- Mrterrytoyou3 de febrero de 2025Great movie, loved the action! Huge Tropic Thunder vibes, which I liked! that being said I also think that’s what made it 4 stars instead of 5 for me. Actually if you think about it, it is Tropic Thunder… the love story between Jack blacks character and the heroin. The love story of Simple Jack and the guerilla fighters that made the heroin. So many similarities… Still pretty fun movie!
- Desmond Dale24 de enero de 2025The plot is twisty in the most predictable and boring way and yet despite that this movie won me over pretty much on the chemistry of Gosling and Blunt and the absolute batshit crazy stunts alone. This is another film where you pretty much need to walk into the theater with your mind turned off and ready to chomp on some popcorn and have your adrenaline sporadically boosted. This is a summer blockbuster.
