The Creator Ratings & Reviews
- kylew64716 de marzo de 2026This movie is really unbelievable. It's too futuristic. The year is 2065 and the cities and technology look like straight out of Star Wars.
- mahd4125 de febrero de 2026Good story .. not so directing, producing & acting
- Varun19 de octubre de 2024This movie isn’t perfect but goddamn it’s stunning! The sceneries, production design and cgi were so well done, you can clearly see how much love and effort was put into this project. From the grand visuals of Asian culture mixed with futuristic technology to the designs of simple vehicles, everything was immaculately displayed and made the world feel real and tangible, something which is often missing in big budget cgi films. I hope more directors are given larger budgets to make unique fantastical worlds. The story on the other hand is lacking. It’s a simple plot, with characters that aren’t very well developed and there isn’t much exploration into the philosophical problems posed by AI. These concepts have been portrayed in a lot of media already, like Ghost in the Shell (1995) for example, so it felt quite surface level here especially in 2023. The acting was well done, especially from Madeleine Voyles (Alphie) who gave a stellar performance and I always enjoy seeing Ken Watanabe (Harun) in more roles. The pacing was also quite good so I was engaged till the end. Overall I had a decent experience and if you love Sci-Fi, this is definitely a world worth checking out.
- Chris C1 de marzo de 2025This really felt like a movie of two sides. On one side, the plot was somewhat lacking. The whole "dangers of AI" aspect was only really ever paid lip service and not investigated like it deserved. The plot setup of how the west/America was going about their war also just didn't seem very smart, with too many logically-questionable choices in tactics and overall strategy. They also certainly come across as the more evil faction, due to those tactics. On the other side, this is just an absolutely beautiful film! The locations are gorgeous and you can tell they're real and not just VFX. But the VFX that's there (and there's plenty of it throughout the film) is fantastic quality. It's as good or better than blockbuster films with three times the budget. Gareth Edwards has a background as a visual effects artist and it shows through in all his films with the excellent quality of the VFX, but this film takes it to the next level. Performance-wise, Madeleine Yuna Voyles really brings Alphie to life and John David Washington gives another great turn as the main protagonist. Ken Watanabe is only a supporting role, but he's also excellent as usual. Sci-fi fans will almost certainly enjoy this film, particularly if you're able to set aside some of the plot issues. It's visually stunning, well-acted, and while it certainly has some issues, the film is entertaining and definitely worth a watch.
- meliss2766 de enero de 2026Better than I thought it would be. Not my usual kind of movie.. but it was interesting... otherwise good. I'd reccomend it.
- Tanalien9 de enero de 2025This film should spark a conversation about what kind of future we want. It begins in a dystopia, a world where we are afraid of a superintelligence gone rogue. Slowly, The Creator turns into another kind of vision where we and sentient machines peacefully coexist. This turning of expectations – from our initial indifference to a robot losing its head to our heartache when a humanoid child expresses her sadness – is the film’s greatest achievement. In the realm of cinematic storytelling, The Creator expresses what has only been theory, imagining a potential future in an emotional way. A world where humanoid mothers care for human sons and a human father cares for his humanoid daughter. Who imagined a future where humans sacrifice themselves to free machines from bondage? A future where machines have an equal right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? What would you say to a humanoid child who asks you, “Am I going to Heaven?”
- The Gutter Monkey26 de mayo de 2025I give it half a day before you forget you ever watched it. A week, you'll forget it ever existed.
- David Michael Kelsall3 de enero de 2026Ai is here better lock all the doors
- flavo4324 de noviembre de 2025The Creator is a visually stunning and thought-provoking exploration of our deepest fears about artificial intelligence—and, more importantly, our own inability to coexist with what we create. The film imagines a future where a catastrophic event sparks a global war on AI, yet the tragedy is unmistakably human in origin. Instead of confronting their own mistakes, the world’s superpowers resort to genocidal extermination, treating AI as an existential threat rather than a mirror reflecting their failures. What makes the story especially compelling is the contrast between nations: while powerful countries respond with fear, aggression, and overwhelming military force, much of the developing world embraces AI as equals, partners, and even family. The allegories to modern geopolitics and cultural divides are impossible to miss. Yet at its heart, The Creator suggests that AI might help restore compassion, empathy, and “humanity” where humans have lost it. The idea is bold, unsettling, and uplifting all at once. The result is an exceptional, emotionally resonant film that lingers long after the credits roll.
- KimmieBean9 de agosto de 2025Another movie that relies on visuals to compensate for a lacklustre and spotty storyline =(
- adam31995 de julio de 2025On the surface looks good with effects but by before 1/3 in is tedious and dreadful. Dont bother
- Corey Burkes9 de noviembre de 2025Loved this film. Washington’s performance was stellar. The concept foundation—- “save the child, everybody after them. Main character learns to be a better person.”— is a little worn out. But this film did its job. Effects are astounding
- Cody Cornman26 de agosto de 2025A look at our what will happing with a.i. very good watch
