Having established a solid acting career, he went on to play the seventh incarnation of the Doctor in long-running sci-fi TV series DOCTOR WHO from 1987 to 1989 - the final lead actor of the original 'Classic Series - briefly returning to pass the torch in the 1996 movie, documented in the video-diary film BIDDING ADIEU.
