Fatal Attraction in high school with worse plotting. Decent cinematography in spite of some bad choices. Just watch Fatal Attraction.

Tell Me You Love Me reads like the emotional fallout of a hot skank not getting the jock of her dreams. I gave it 5 stars because sometimes supporting local delusion is the right thing to do.

Swimfan is a thriller that never quite rises above its own clichés, delivering a story so predictable that it feels assembled from leftover plot points of better films. The comparison to Fatal Attraction isn’t just inevitable—it highlights how much this movie leans on familiar beats without adding anything fresh. The plot is riddled with holes, relying on contrivances and leaps in logic that make it hard to stay invested. It’s clear the film was positioned as a box‑office grab, showcasing a young, marketable cast rather than building a compelling narrative around them. While the actors do what they can, the script gives them little depth to work with, and the tension never reaches the intensity the genre demands. In the end, Swimfan feels like a missed opportunity: a glossy teen thriller that promises danger and obsession but delivers only a shallow, forgettable imitation.
