1942. The Nazis launch the decisive phase of the Jew's extermination. From the ghettos, people are transported to the death camps. A young polish family takes in an abandoned Jewish girl - Hania. This way, Hania meets Pajtek, a local freak, extremely responsive to the beauty of nature and the fate of animals.
