Spider-Man
- Manuel Frangis26 de marzo de 2025I just watched the original Spider-Man from 2002 and I give it 5 out of 5 stars. This movie is a classic and still one of the best superhero origin stories ever made. It kicked off a whole new era of comic book movies, and it holds up with heart, action, and one of the most iconic performances of any hero on screen. Tobey Maguire plays Peter Parker, and he absolutely nails it. He brings the awkwardness, kindness, and quiet strength that make Peter such a relatable character. Watching him go from a shy high school student to becoming Spider-Man is such a great journey. You feel his struggles, his growth, and the weight of his choices. He is not just trying to be a superhero. He is figuring out how to be a better person. The moment he first discovers his powers is still so fun to watch. The wall climbing, the web swinging, the reflexes—all of it is done in a way that feels exciting and believable. The way the movie builds up his transformation makes the payoff feel earned, and it is one of the reasons this movie still feels so special. Willem Dafoe as Norman Osborn and the Green Goblin is legendary. He brings a mix of charm, madness, and menace that makes him the perfect first villain for Spider-Man. The scenes where he is talking to himself in the mirror or going full Goblin are unforgettable. He goes all in, and it works. Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson is a solid love interest, and you can see why Peter cares about her. Their scenes together are sweet and full of that teenage crush energy. And of course, the upside-down kiss in the rain is still one of the most iconic movie moments ever. The supporting cast is just as strong. J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson is hilarious and perfect. He looks, sounds, and acts exactly like he came out of the comics. His scenes are gold. Aunt May and Uncle Ben bring the emotional core of the movie, and Cliff Robertson’s version of Uncle Ben delivers the famous “With great power comes great responsibility” line in a way that sticks with you forever. The action still holds up. The fight scenes between Spider-Man and the Green Goblin are intense, creative, and full of emotion. You are not just watching two people punch each other. You are watching their personal struggles play out in each fight. The final battle is raw and powerful, and it proves how much Peter is willing to sacrifice. The music by Danny Elfman is amazing. The main theme is epic and gives the movie a heroic, emotional feel that adds to every big moment. It fits Spider-Man so well and helps make scenes even more memorable. I give Spider-Man 5 out of 5 stars because it does everything right. It is emotional, fun, dramatic, and full of heart. It understands what makes Peter Parker such a great character and brings him to life in a way that is still loved today. Overall Spider-Man (2002) is a superhero movie classic that helped shape everything that came after it. It has heart, great action, and unforgettable performances. I loved every minute of it and still do every time I rewatch it.

- AidansCollectionYT2 de julio de 2026I’ve seen this a lot, and I still love it. It’s a great movie, and you don’t need to watch h anything else first to understand it. There are just a couple things I would say about this. Me personally? Everything before Peter’s graduation was kind of boring, not really boring, but yeah, a bit (Obviously the origin bits were fine tho) . And when Green Goblin came back 19 years later in No way home he was definitely a LOT better than he was in this movie, he’s still amazing in this one, which just shows how good of an actor Willem Dafoe is.
- Braden29 de junio de 2026Sam Raimi’s Spiderman unequivocally rules. Beautiful camerawork, incredible sound design from Danny Elfman and nightmare-inducing jump scares (it is Raimi after all) all brought home by Chad Kroeger’s Hero needle drop in the credits? It’s kino folks. Truly a cornerstone movie (trilogy) in my life and it brought the nostalgia back in waves upon revisit. Has New York City ever looked better? Will there ever been an MJ close to Kirsten Dunst? Can I go back to 2002? A must watch!
