You think being Kevin McCalister brother they would have booby trapped the house. Also think pretty well written, most loose ends tied off. I was waiting for the rock to come back from the feild, that would of been funny.

Signs is a masterpiece. The religious overtones were a misguided concept yet add so much to the tone of the film. The score, dialogue, cinematography, and religious theming all pull on the viewer *just enough* to keep them thinking "what the hell is going on?" The themes of fate and luck are a fascinating experience viewed through the lens of reality. Grant attributing their survival to a diety is surreal and almost funny. This is the story of a family who gets REALLY lucky over and over. Existential horror slapstick.

Can I say something absolutely insane? Signs is one of the best-looking movies ever made. And the score is incredible. Genuinely scary, bizarrely so funny, such a little miracle of a movie.

Aliens who are allergic to water decide to visit a planet covered in water with an atmosphere made of water populated by beings mostly made of water

If you like M. Knight, you’ll enjoy this creepy, slow moving thriller. The movie paints a picture of unlikely events, and teases you with the potential for it all being plausible - but reality is always throwing cold water on taking a leap of faith. Mel Gibson, almost at the height of his erratic real life behavior, plays an ex-priest. Why he has lost his faith is explained slowly through the film and as more and more otherworldly events occur that loss of faith is centered on. His nearly broken family is hanging on by a thread, and as alarming world events start enveloping them everything starts coming unraveled - but is it all real? Is it al all what it appears to be? There are some brilliantly creepy scenes, garnished by alarming visuals and creepy audio that make this worth a watch. There are some huge leaps of faith you must make, but investing in the implausibility helps move this movie along.

Great movie, had us on the edge of our seats. Nice message at the end as well

A tense, creepy little thriller, with Mel Gibson doing his thing really well. The whole “aliens invading a planet that’s mostly water” is kinda ridiculous, especially considering their weird weakness, but I guess Shyamalan was going into the religious vibes—water as life, birth, protection, all that. Still, it’s a fun, well-paced ride with enough suspense to keep you hooked.

This is just one of M. Night Shyamalan’s perfect 4 movies! Watching this with someone who has never seen it before is so much fun! I love this!

Acting was phenomenal. I think I’m scarred from this movie, til this day. That one scene - if you’ve seen this movie, you know which scene - was nightmare fuel for the young me. Nevertheless, an incredible story that went on to inspire Scary Movie 3 (if I’m not mistaken).

Subtle in it's messaging, with just the right about of thriller and a touch of alien horror. Top soundtrack
