Reserve this for a day when you really want to burn a couple hours and come out empty handed. Gets a couple stars for being moody.

Graham wrote, directed, photographed, edited and partly performed it, even building the cabin himself, and the result is intimate and unsettling. Adam tries to isolate himself from the entity Sator, but his grandmother's writings and recordings reveal a family haunted for generations. Dialogue is minimal and exposition nearly absent, so viewers assemble the story from fragments: automatic writing, old tapes and cryptic conversations. The forest is an oppressive presence, its trees claustrophobic and the sound design suggesting something approaching. The worst moments arrive without emphasis. No musical cues signal when to be scared, and the camera refuses to turn horror into spectacle. That restraint gives it power. It feels private, as if you've wandered into someone else's nightmare. The mythology stays obscure, but the atmosphere makes it work: folk horror stripped to family, forest and inherited belief.
