Powder (Pura energía)
En un pequeño pueblo norteamericano, cuando el sherif Barnum investiga el fallecimiento de un anciano, descubre a su nieto adolescente viviendo en su granja. Sin más parientes vivos, ha vivido aislado del resto del mundo, que sólo conoce a través de los libros que ha leido. Enviado a un orfanato estatal para chicos inadaptados, el extraño muchacho tendrá serios problemas para integrarse socialmente con los demás internos. Su extraña apariencia -albina y sin cabellos-, su extraordinaria inteligencia y, sobre todo, sus inusuales y asombrosos poderes sobrenaturales, provocarán el miedo y la burla de los vecinos de la localidad.
I truly don't get the hate Powder gets from quite a few critics. I mean, sure, it's not for everyone and it certainly could've done better, but even now, 30 years later, the lesson in human nature doesn't get old. Especially now that "our technology has surpassed our humanity" seems truer than ever before. Solid performances all around. The ending, though emotive, was also kind of meh.
