Possum Ratings & Reviews
- rickmassie28 de octubre de 2025One of the most unsettling and terrifying movies I've ever seen. It doesn't feel like a traditional "horror" movie, and the pacing is quite slow. And yet, it still manages to be completely captivating throughout. The atmosphere is overwhelming in the best kind of way, and the terrifying visuals (though few) are the stuff of nightmares. The very worst kind of nightmares. Incredible.
- DARTH VADER6 de enero de 2026POSSUM - is one of only a handful of movies, that have followed me into my nightmares, the atmosphere in it is excellent. The whole & overall utilisation of mental health, post traumatic stress disorder and a victim of abuse is so realistically and very well done and portrayed brilliantly by Sean Harris and imo, puts in an Oscar Nominated performance here, he's that good and you just feel his pain as the audience watching throughout. The whole movie is just very bleak & depressing all the way through, even all of the locations & settings are, even the cinematography is and that was purposefully done, because we the audience watching are supposed to feel, how our lead Character is feeling and going through, I thought from that perspective the film was very powerful, impactful & very effective. The half man and half spider puppet is the most horrific, creepy and bone chilling thing I've ever seen in my life, I was struggling to look at it full on and don't watch this movie if you suffer from Arachnophobia. I had goosebumps and felt a chill going up my spine everytime I seen it and I'm somebody that doesn't scare easy, but that puppet terrified me. And finally I totally understood and got the whole message & theme of the movie and what it all represented. It's not a movie that I'll ever have the desire to rewatch again, this is one of the films that's a one time watch, it really effected, impacted, haunted and stayed with me long after the credits had rolled. The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rating, is because it isn't a movie that I'll ever rewatch again and I base my ratings on rewatch value as well also, but for that one time experience it's burned into my 🧠 and is a film I'll never forget.
- Allie Tran1 de julio de 2025Oh my god this puppet’s face haunts me in my nightmares. My soul literally left my body during its reveal.
- Lauren Gemmill24 de mayo de 2025Beautifully Haunting Film with a gorgeous and well put together message regarding abuse and mental health. Could possibly be confusing to anyone who doesn't understand Horror, Filmography, Psychology/Mental Illness, Riddles, or Symbolism. One of the best parts of this film is that you have to think and put together the puzzle as you watch the movie, it really causes you to become engrossed with the film and understand the story from the main characters point of view.
- Frank Wong3 de agosto de 2025Terrible crap .
