The film that made "Colin Farrel" into a star this career making film & performance remains imo one of his best to this day!! "Phone Booth" turns one tiny location into a very suspenseful, gripping film that brings with it that sense of dread, isolation & chlostraphobia to it; because our protagonist can't go anywhere as he's being held there at gunpoint the entire time which is very terrifying. Also I love these one location type of movies that play out in real time; there's just something about that for me just feels very real in a lot of ways. And it makes us the viewer watching feel like we're there right alongside "Stu" in this horrifying situation. Not only is this a thriller but the central theme of the movie is all about truth vs lies and "Kiefer Sutherlands" voice work is very haunting, cold & calm and is ultimately perfect for the part; every line of dialogue he delivers is delivered with such conviction & meaning behind it. And "Phone Booth" is short & sharp and to the point, it gets in & gets out and doesn't overstay its welcome!! Overall "Phone Booth" is a perfect film from front to back and from left to right in my mind; if you haven't seen "Phone Booth" go and watch it right now its awesome!!

Phone Booth is described as a one location thriller. It delivers on what it's intended to be. The acting by Colin Farrell is very convincing as a person who gets a mysterious phone call regarding knowing everything about him. Keifer Sutherland is great as the mysterious caller. His voice fits perfectly and his delivery is top notch. For a relatively smaller film, it is never boring. There is enough that occurs and the rest of the supporting cast are also solid. The suspense and mystery regarding the caller is great and the buildup to the character keeps you on the edge. Somewhat of a confusing ending yet overall this film is highly entertaining and it's short run time works great.

The telephone booth as a psychoanalytical element of purification and confession of sins.
