While the script can be disjointed and the story occasionally hard to follow, the film delivers a surreal, dreamlike atmosphere that sets it apart from typical horror fare. The iconic flying silver sphere is a standout, both visually inventive and genuinely unsettling. Though it may not be the most coherent or polished film, its creativity and eerie tone make it a memorable experience for fans of offbeat horror.

Everyone has beautiful hair and the child protagonist is one of the mostly badass kids ever portrayed on film. It's a visual and aural spectacle with a soundtrack so hard that Master P sampled it on "Pass Me The Green." It's the weird, dark fantasy that Nightmare on Elm Street dreams it was, pun intended.

Mike, un joven que acaba de perder a sus padres, observa a su hermano Jody mientras éste asiste al entierro de su mejor amigo. A la salida del cementerio, Mike es testigo de una escena muy extraña: un hombre alto alza el féretro, lo introduce en un coche fúnebre y desaparece. Mike describe la escena a su hermano, quién lo toma por loco. Molesto por la incredulidad de Jody, Mike vuelve al cementerio de Morningside al anochecer, infiltrándose en la morgue donde además de descubrir una serie de extrañas criaturas espectrales, se hace con una poderosa esfera de plata que pertenece al misterioso hombre alto.
