Tras años siendo una ídolo juvenil que forma parte del exitoso trío musical CHAM!, Mima Kirigoe decide abandonar el grupo para perseguir su sueño de convertirse en actriz. Alentada por su entorno, decide romper con su imagen de niña buena y acepta un papel en una serie policíaca subida de tono, lo que provoca la ira de muchos de sus fans. Pronto descubre que alguien está escribiendo un blog en internet en el que explica detalles íntimos sobre su vida y además su misterioso acosador pasa a la acción amenazando a sus seres queridos. Mientras los cadáveres comienzan a acumularse a su alrededor, la realidad y las alucinaciones se mezclan en un mundo terrorífico en el que no hay lugar para la inocencia y los sueños se convierten en pesadillas.

    this movie was really good!! you have to focus and rewatch a few times to kind of understand some things but overall i loved it.

    Definitely recommend!! Captures the feeling of loneliness, insanity,etc. perfectly. I think everyone should watch this movie at least once. Please please PLEASE watch perfect Blue!!! <3

    Perfect Blue is a remarkable story of Mima's identity struggles and her decent into madness with situations spiraling well out of her control. Throughout the film, you really can't tell what is real and what is not. It's only in the last 5 minutes that you really start to understand what really happened.... or do you? I can't help but feel that Perfect Blue was well ahead of it's time.

    Too many dream sequences and misdirections, which made following along even more difficult. Beautiful animation and soundtrack.

    Perfect Blue exceptionally blends aspects of horror, thriller, drama, crime, and mystery into a tight narrative about suffering a mental break under pressure. Making you question what's real, and what's in Mima's mind.

    Watched in 4K at Warren Regal East with Moore Note: Was met by a stranger as I entered the auditorium asking, “This is Perfect Blue, right?” Yeah, I think so. “Okay, just making sure because the group of children confused me!” Couldn’t handle that, had to sit in front of them and physically restrain myself from looking back until right before the SA scene….they were gone 😅

    This is a very dark psychological thriller. It's very rich in layers of insanity from the protagonist's point of view. This movie will have you thinking about what's considered real or in the main character's head. I say check it out.
