Ambientada en el año 1820, cuenta la historia de Eugene Onegin, un aristócrata que se traslada a San Petersburgo. Allí conoce a Vladimir Lensky, quien le presenta a la hermana de su prometida Olga, de quien se enamora perdidamente. Pero el amor de Onegin por la bella Tatiana no será fácil, trayendo consigo una fuerte confrontación con Lensky que le obligará a abandonar la ciudad durante seis años. Basada en la ópera del compositor ruso Piotr Ílich Chaikovski.
