Newton is definitely one of my favorite movies of Rajkummar Rao's. An absolute masterpiece of political satire. I went in with relatively low expectations, but as the story progressed, I found myself completely drawn in. What makes Newton so good is how incredibly honest it is. There are no over the top action scenes or loud, dramatic background music it's just a raw look at a voting booth stuck in the middle of a jungle. The dialogue is brilliant, and the entire cast delivers incredible performances. Rajkummar Rao and Pankaj Tripathi are fantastic, and Anjali Patil and Raghubir Yadav completely nail their supporting roles. The film beautifully manages to be funny and heartbreaking at the same time. It is a absolute must watch for anyone who appreciates meaningful cinema.
