Jaafar Jackson did an amazing acting job in this film and the make up & hair department deserves an award but … This was just a vehicle to relive Michael Jackson’s greatest hits and big moments. There’s only a surface level of depth into who Michael was. This movie just repackages the same persona Michael always presented to the world. We don’t get new knowledge or understanding about him. We do see the abuse and controlling behavior from Joe Jackson and the silence from Mrs Jackson but none of this is ground breaking or new information that we didn’t already know. The movie just feels like hitting a series of bullet points that the producer wanted to cover about Michael’s biggest moments (and maybe renew interest in the music catalog) but the story lacks depths and feels like it ends abruptly. I didn’t hate this movie but I’m not planning on watching it again. This movie is great for the fans who want to relive the nostalgia but as a film it falls flat in it’s narrative and flow.

“Michael” is less interested in tabloid headlines and more focused on celebrating the extraordinary legacy of the King of Pop. Rather than dwelling on the controversies and allegations that came to define much of Michael Jackson’s later years, the film shines a spotlight on his groundbreaking contributions to music, his troubled childhood, and his meteoric rise from child star to global icon. While the narrative jumps around in time, it does so with surprising grace, never becoming overly distracting. The film boasts a phenomenal cast, delivering performances worthy of awards consideration across the board. It paints a heartbreaking portrait of a young man deprived of a normal childhood, finding solace in music, creativity, and his fascination with exotic animals. More importantly, it reminds audiences why Michael Jackson became one of the most influential entertainers in history. Jaafar Jackson, the real life son of Jermaine Jackson and nephew of the real life Michael Jackson, embodies the King of Pop so much sometimes it’s hard to differentiate the two. By the time the credits roll, you’ll likely find yourself opening your favorite streaming app and revisiting every classic hit from Thriller to Billie Jean. Uplifting, emotional, and immensely entertaining, Michael is one of the year’s most enjoyable films and a fitting tribute to a musical legend.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — I’m Still Not Over This Movie I freaking LOVED this movie. Like… I wasn’t prepared for how good it was. I cried, I smiled, I got chills. it pulled every emotion out of me in the best way. The whole thing was so beautifully done that I didn’t want it to end. I was literally sitting there wishing it would keep going. It’s one of those movies that sticks with you long after the credits roll. I can’t wait for it to come out so I can watch it again and again, because once was nowhere near enough. If you haven’t seen it yet, you’re missing out. It’s that good.

Michael is less a biography and more a musical fairytale. Jaafar Jackson and Colman Domingo are superb, the performances crackle with energy, and the soundtrack does the heavy lifting. Just don’t go in expecting strict historical accuracy.

Michael Jackson fans will not be disappointed. Weird & quirky, no doubt a by-product of his father's fury, his talent is unparalleled. Jaffar Jackson slays the portrayal in his first ever acting gig. Definitely worth a bucket of popcorn! I would love to see a continuation into what happened beyond, when it all got even more twisted.

I am so excited to see this movie . I wanted to see this movie when it first hit theathers but I had to wait until I saw this movie with my grandparent's today. My grandpa said that he gives this movie a b- and that it didn't have alot of Michael Jackson songs in it. Also he said that they showed too much of Michael Jackson's dad in the movie . My grandma says that Michael Jackson's Nephew didn't really look like him and anyone could of danced or played Michael Jackson other than his nephew . I give a A- I really enjoyed the film even though there where somethings I thought where missing from the film . When the young Michael got upset or when he was older who got upset I wanted to give him a hug . Jaafar didn't look exactly like his uncle but he did a nice job dancing and taking like him. When I first heard him talk I was shocked that he sounded alot like Michael. When Michael Jackson was sitting in the chair wanting his nose to be operated on I wanted to jump into the film and say no don't do it your nose is perfect the way it is, it's not too big , it frames your face nicely " even though it was not the real Michael Jackson on screen. It was really weird that Janet Jackson wasn't in the film no wonder she stormed out and disliked the film. I hope this movie is not a cash grab and that it is a real tribute to Michael Jackson's life legacy. I do hope there is more to this movie after watching the movie I wanted to watch more .

A proper sequel covering Dangerous & Invincible would go harder than any biopic in history
