They cut down on the violence significantly, ruined every single aspect on which I can't go too far into it without spoiling it for you and clearly had no actual understanding of what made the original so good. This is one of the worst remakes I have ever seen. When are we finally stopping the US running European and Asian movies? What a waste of time and money this movie was...

Special effects and imagery are far worse, and the story was changed to have a different ending. Do not watch this. Watch the Fench movie.
